Dear Parents,

I hope that you are all starting to enjoy the festive period!

Term Dates:

Our classes will be running as usual until Saturday 12th December.

Classes will resume next term on Thursday 7th January.

Gradings:

The timings for the Grading this Sunday in Mortlake have now changed. Please see below for the revised timetable:

Sunday 6th December – The Old Powerstation, 121A Mortlake High Street, SW14 8SN

White Belts, Red Belts and Yellow Belts – 9:30-10:15am

Orange Belts, Blue Belts and Green Belts – 10:15-11:00am

Green Strips and Above – 11:00am-12:00pm

(The belt colours refer to the belts that they have right now and not the ones that they are trying to achieve)

The next Grading will be held on Saturday 30th January at 3:30pm (Venue TBC)

There are quite a few children who are very close to being ready for their Grading but not quite ready for this weekend so we have scheduled a grading at the end of January. If your child is one of these then please pencil the date into your diary and we will do our best to help your child to get ready for a grading in January.

Last Chance for Christmas Orders:

If you have ordered any equipment for Christmas presents then I will have it with me in your child’s next class. I have them in sealed bags and I am ready to hand them to you as discreetly as possible! If you wish to order something then please check the previous email with the list and email me asap.

THANK YOU!

Finally, I would like to thank you all for your continued dedication and commitment. I feel very honoured to have such a wonderful group of Karate students! As instructors we work very hard to provide high quality tuition to our students and it is very rewarding to see our students working equally as hard to improve and progress. There is no prouder feeling than to see students who have been training with me for as long as 10 years achieve their Black Belts and Second Dan Black Belts, and then to see them go back to their next class and continue to work and improve as though nothing has happened. I feel proud to see that our students are true martial artists; they work hard and excel with a humble nature and no ego problems.

I hope that you all enjoy your Christmas holiday and I wish you all peace and prosperity in 2016.

Yours sincerely,

Sensei Ben Pethick
